As Suits a Warrior.

Hi! I'm Shu.
This is my page dedicated my daughter Sileas, detailing her stories throughout her journey.
I love her a very normal amount.

Name: Sileas de Borel
Age: 24 (ARR), 28 (6.1), 29 (7.0)
Gender: Woman
Nameday: 28th Sun of the 1st Astral Moon (28 Jan)
Race: Hyur, Midlander
Deity: Azemya, The Warden
Job: WAR, NIN

Personality
A sweet, shy girl with a mature appearance. Underneath her stoic, focused expressions in combat lies a sentimental, anxious girl who fears losing the ones close to her. Sileas loves her friends and family very much, often sharing care and concern for them. She aims to help people in any way she can to make up for how fortunate she was to survive and living an entirely new life. Though she aims to help others, she tends to forget about herself to the point she becomes reckless, deciding to handle all problems independently, forgetting her own safety. She is harsh and strict on herself, having tendencies to dwell on her mistakes, or when she causes trouble for others. She also bottles up her feelings, holding back on revealing her true feelings in fear of bothering a person or hurting someone again. As the daughter of a merchant, she is polite, and conducts her business like any noblewoman would.

Jobs/Abilities
Sileas is primarily a physical fighter, with a poor affinity for magic. While she was given education on magic upon arriving in Eorzea to keep her distracted from her past, she has little aether reserves and is unable to use potent magic, not even for combat purposes, despite being talented in weaving her aether, an ability she’d learnt from training as a shinobi. She’d prefer to be wielding a weapon and using her physical prowess to overpower her enemies, and loves her trusty axe at all times. She has chosen to train her physical strength, which has caused her to gain an immense strength, to the point she may accidentally injure someone from a light push from her. She picks up the art of the Ninja again after meeting Yugiri and hearing about the Doman’s rebellion against the empire, hoping to eventually help liberate Doma.
Throughout her journey, Sileas’ unstable emotions eventually lead to her finding the corpse of Fray, and cultivating her skill in the art of the Dark Knight. Due to the many people she has met and lost throughout her journey as the Warrior of Light, her innate anger and sadness manifests as Fray and Myste, two beings who represent her innate emotions and resentment to her journey as the hero of Eorzea. Fray, to Sileas, also embodies her self-centred desires that only benefit her, and can be extremely impulsive and selfish when interacting with close ones (if Sileas lets her guard down, of course.). She comes to terms with Myste too, and is still sorting out her feelings slowly, and trying to love herself more. While she hasn’t forgotten the skills she has cultivated, she still prefers to wield her Axe over the Greatsword, and has hidden those skills from most people.

Likes/Dislikes, Hobbies
Likes: The Scions, Family, Cute things (plushies, gaelicats, beings she runs into while adventuring, faux commander), taking care of others/children
Dislikes: Helplessness (self only), showing weakness (also self only), social gatherings, nightmares
Favourite Food: Anything with Meat, Stew
Least Favourite Food: Sweet treats, jam
Outside of combat and training to become physically stronger, she enjoys cooking a good meal for herself or for her family. Due to a lack of good culinary presence at home, she began learning cooking from her father’s assistant Urara, practising with recipes and new ingredients in her free time while she wasn't working. Since adventuring, she’s improved her skills further experimenting with newer ingredients she finds around, and is able to cook for anyone as long she’s provided with a stove. Dhe only cooks her best recipes when it’s someone special to her, or her close ones.Sileas also likes to relax while reading a good book. Whether it be a piece of fiction or one about how aether works, she enjoys it nevertheless. Despite being bad at executing the arcane arts, she has amassed a huge amount of knowledge and enjoys discussing the details of a recent read with Y’shtola. Otherwise, she reads a piece of fiction before going to bed while snuggling with her favourite cushion or plushies (although, she doesn’t reveal this to anyone as she feels that others will perceive her as childish), or sometimes, with an additional cup of tea.

History

Shizuka is born into the Kenshin family a year before the Garlean invasion as the only heir to the current Lord Kenshin. The Kenshin clan is a clan of warriors taught in the art of the Samurai and the Ninja, with members of the clan selecting what field of combat they wish to specialise in. Those who in the clan either serve as guards for Doma, or serve the royal family in the army. They clan fought fiercely when Garlean forces invaded, but lost. Her Father was conscripted into the army, and is allowed to come home occasionally, serving as a spy for his Doman brethren. Her mother is excused on the condition that she is still recovering from her pregnancy, and continues to behave as a dainty, helpless wife while supporting the Doman resistance.Shizuka was raised by the royal family’s servants and other individuals in Doma, being a child of the royal family’s most honourable and loyal retainers. She was given a compulsory Garlean education while given training to be a shinobi. Despite this, her exposure to the several books and stories held in the archives made her yearn for a world outside the occupation. Her training was strict, and outside of the private dinners where her parents would share stories of Doma outside of the occupation, her relationship with her parents was mostly a formal one, due to the watchful eyes of the empire. She shared a close bond with the Doman prince Hien, treating him like her own brother. They would often play and study together, sharing information they learnt from their parents to each other. After a failed rebellion against their Imperial Masters by several members of the royal guard and varying clans, Lord Kaien’s position is quickly threatened as the master of his vassals. The lords of each clan take full responsibility for the incident , buying time for their members to make their escape. As other vassals continue to be persecuted for the rebellion, many are forcefully conscripted into the army. Shizuka’s mother, as well as several trusted aids, flee Doma with the aid of other clans, crossing the seas to Eorzea, barely surviving on the few supplies they received. They eventually arrive on the seas of La Noscea, barely alive from hunger, and are found by a farmer at the lakes of Middle La Noscea - an excitable lady with her merchant husband. The couple took them in, feeding both of them, while realising that Shizuka’s mother had taken ill from the weeks of travelling. Realising she was on her deathbed while succumbing to her disease, she asks the couple to take care of her only daughter, and to raise her to be a faithful and kind girl. Due to the horror of losing her parents, her memories of both their deaths become blurry. While she remembers her time in Doma, she often feels a sense of loneliness, clutching onto her birth parents’ soul crystals attempting to recall the past.

Before the Calamity

After being adopted, Shizuka was renamed to Sileas, and was educated in the arcane arts and in the ways of conducting herself in her Lominsan family’s business of trading fresh produce with other businesses. Despite the lord and lady’s wishes for her to grow up to be a refined lady, she retained her ways in being tough and uncouth outside of business. She becomes good at managing the farm and business, being placed in charge of things in place of her father while he is away. Through her experiences travelling to different states, she begins to have a large curiosity of the world around her.The calamity arrived when she was 19, her chances of travelling devastated as the world around was turned into disarray. The night when Dalamud fell - she soon has a dream of falling meteors, as well as screams of suffering around her as she walks through a strange city. Awakening from the dream, she soon finds her right eye glowing a bright blue, hearing the call of the Mother Crystal. Despite the strange looks she would be given in the coming days due to her change in appearance, she continues helping others who have been displaced by the calamity.

A Realm Reborn

Through the many kind deeds she made to anyone in need, Sileas is recruited by the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. With Minfillia as a sister to her, Y’shtola as a mentor to her, along with the many intriguing faces of the scions, aiding in their efforts to combat the rising primal threat in Eorzea. With her trusty axe in hand, she soon becomes known as the Warrior of Light, defeating the Legatus of the XIVth Legion threatening Eorzea. Up to this point, she had never considered how much difference she could make to the Garlean Empire, thanks to the gift. Slowly recalling her past through encounters with the empire, as well as a new group of Doman refugees, she swears to work harder to make a further dent into the Empire’s forces and their plans, learning the skills of a ninja from her past, believing the young commander of the Crystal Braves would do good for the continent.

Heavenward

Filled with suspicion of the newly appointed Lord Commander of Ishgard, Sileas was wary of every move and action he took. Soon gaining her trust with his conviction to find the truth of the war between man and dragon, the two became closer, with Sileas beginning to carry feelings for the Lord Commander. Alas, such feelings were not to be revealed with the loss of her dearest friend, Haurchefant, and another beloved friend, Ysayle, the Warrior of Light distanced herself from him, in fear of losing anyone she had deeper feelings for.Fate would pull the two together once more as Sileas found herself back in Ishgard, taking on a new role in her father’s trade company to set up a new business in the Holy See. She begins to recall the affections and love she had for the now appointed Lord Speaker through their many conversations and advice she receives from him. The bond between them would only grow stronger through the several encounters they have along the streets of Ishgard at night, as Sileas struggles with her loss and role as the Warrior of Light. Aymeric would never fail to lend a listening ear, unknowingly giving her the courage for her to take the right step forward. The two would be separated once more due to fate leading the warrior to the first, where she would soon come to a simple realisation - to keep the ones she loved close, and to protect them with the power she held. Though it was merely weeks since he spoke those words of encouragement to the warrior, it had been months for her as she returned to the Holy See to see him once more. That one night would change their relationship forever, as the words spoken, emotions that spilled forth from her painful confession would make them lovers from then on.Now, the two share a trusting, faithful bond that would last no matter how far apart they are. Though Aymeric misses his dear lady every excursion she goes on, he looks forward to her return as she brings with her the most exciting of tales from her journey. On days the two are together, they share the coziest of nights, sharing each other's warmth as they enjoy each other's company. Cooking, Reading, and strolling around the See are some of the few activities they enjoy together. Spending as much time as they can together after saving the planet, Aymeric proposes to her a year after her brave journey to save the planet, asking her to be his Lady Wife. A difficult choice wrought with tears and emotions, Sileas agreed, now fiancee to the Lord Speaker.Rumour has it that the Lord Speaker is now in the midst of planning a grand ceremony for their wedding, for his Lady to receive the greatest honour on their special day. She is sure to become a lucky bride, and a blessed lady of House Borel. With the grand wedding ceremony concluded, blessed by the many friends and comrades that came along the way. Laughter and joy continues to resound from the halls of the Borel Manor. Receiving the greatest honour of the title of Lady Borel, Sileas continues her days in the Manor caring for her beloved husband. Receiving an invitation to explore the New World, the uncharted continent of Tural, the newlyweds are once again to be separated due to the Lady’s second love - her love of adventure. Their bond continues to be strong, deeply in love as they spend their days apart.Rumour has it that the new Lady of House Borel has recently returned from her adventure, though with a much larger constitution than before. Her appearances have become less despite rumours of her return, the Lord informing others that she is unwell. An unsurprisingly common occurrence among newlyweds in Ishgard, perhaps an heir to House Borel is along the way? Only the joyous couple would know.

Stormblood

Thrown into war in the midst of her uncontrollable Inner Beast, Sileas falters to the Crown Prince of Garlemald, Zenos yae Galvus. In desperation, she reached out to her mother’s Soul Crystal, recalling the events of her past, while remembering her lost abilities as a ninja. Setting forth to Doma, she withholds her identity, continuing to aid in the country’s liberation as the Warrior of Light. She becomes fast friends with Alisaie, Lyse and Yugiri through their travels. She remains at odds with her emotions, trying to keep calm, but inevitably goes on a rampage when she is enraged by the heinous acts enacted by the empire. Being an asset in battle due to her rampage, she tore through enemy after enemy, liberating both Ala Mhigo and Doma with her strength. She is snapped out of her anger upon Zenos’ death, accused by Zenos of being the same as he - an untamed beast, looking for challenge after challenge. Feeling conflicted by her reason for her search for power, Esteem soon manifests from her, convincing her to throw away the mantle of the Warrior of Light. After the liberation, Sileas spends her time starting on a new business venture by her father, unwillingly reconciling her feelings with Aymeric, who is elated to see her. She trains in the art of the Dark Knight with the mysterious Fray in secret, who teaches her to regulate her emotions. This ends in a clash between her and Esteem, coming to terms with her reason for power - to protect the ones she loves. She is once again confronted by the appearance of Tsuyu, reminding of her childhood, a time when she was yet to be scarred by the horrors of the occupation. Desperately trying to save Tsuyu from another tragic fate, her words fall on deaf ears as she returns to Yotsuyu, expressing her disgust with the hero, another daughter of Doma, for having a fortunate life where she was allowed to forget all the tragedies she experienced. Another one yet unsaved.Finding the Lord Commander to be a close ally as the scions continue to lose consciousness one after another, Sileas found herself heading to Ishgard more often, seeking advice every moment she felt uneasy, reminiscing on the many people, friend or foe, she saves. She completes her training as a Dark Knight with a final confrontation with Myste - a manifestation of her grief over the exact worries she had, and finds herself slowly assured. With one more push of encouragement from the Lord Commander as she woke in her sickbed, she gained confidence to wield the powers of the warrior once again, heading off to her next, long journey.

Shadowbringers

After the series of scares she went through with each scion falling unconscious, Sileas arrives in The First, unamused by the Exarch’s mysterious nature and concealment of his plans. Nevertheless, with her returned confidence, she tries her hardest to assist the residents of The First, exploring a world new to her. She continues to bottle up her feelings, pretending she doesn't need help. Seeing her demeanour returned to her hardworking, cheery self in their absence, the scions make sure she gets her rest. Befriending and learning about the lives of many in The First, her strongest bonds are with the pixies, enamoured by their playful nature and their free way of life. Relying on Feo Ul to send letters home and to Aymeric, these letters soon stop as her aetheric balance begins to tip, due to her smaller aether reserves. Y’shtola is the first to show concern for her, fully aware of her poor aetherial constitution, demanding she care for herself. As she’s about to turn, she attempts to take it all upon herself, attempting to leave for the tempest without the scions. Horrified by the tragedy that befell the ancients, she defeat Emet-Selch, promising to remember the existence of the ancients. Sympathising with the ancients, she is determined to save the world in her own way, despite her inability to recall any of the past he showed to her. The experiences she had in the first, learning every individual’s struggle to survive in a dying world, convinced her to take the first step on the hesitation that remained in her heart - to allow herself to have affections for Aymeric. Returning to the Source, she reveals her heart to the Lord Commander who is relieved to see her, reciprocating her feelings. She carries her new feelings to her final struggle with the final unsundered, confused as to why both the Emissary and her are drawn together. Despite the several challenges Elidibus throws on her, Sileas defeats the clones of her many loved ones she’s found along the way with a heavy heart, knowing the burden she carries. Putting a stop to Elidibus' plan, knowing that her ancient self was once the seat of Azem, she promises him to carry on the ancients’ legacy. As the emissary dissipates into the Crystal Tower, she hears a familiar, female, voice thanking her. Unsure of the voice she heard, she carries the wishes of the unsundered as the scions return to the source, taking a break with her new lover. She begins to express her love and care for others more openly, knowing that they should be known before it is too late. Getting as much rest as she can while running her business, the final chapter of the star was waiting for her with the impending threat of the Telephoroi.

Endwalker

With the towers placed by Telephoroi a menace to all of Eorzea, and the many casualties suffered, Sileas heads to Old Sharlayan with the scions to seek a way to avert The Final Days, now unsure of Hydaelyn’s true nature. Nevertheless, she accepts the bloom she is given, an “Elpis Flower”, one that would guide her along her journey. Meeting more faces affected by troubles in the places she visited, she watched as the bloom changed colours according to her feelings as she shared moments of joy and worry. Horrified by her body taken over by Zenos, she calms herself while getting rest in Old Sharlayan, sharing her fears much more easily with her friends and lover. As the final days come closer to the Star, Sileas finds herself once again confronting Elidibus in The First, now stripped of his power, without a care for his duty. With him recalling her appearance in the past, he transports her to Elpis with the last of his strength, and she bids goodbye to him once more as the familiar female voice speaks to her clearly - “Elidibus will be fine with me now.”Unsure of this message once again, she keeps her focus on finding the cause of the final days, spending time with Venat, Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus, as if they were old friends, as well as learning of the troubles Hermes, the future Fandaniel would face. As the truth becomes clear to them, she tries to tell Meteion that all wouldn’t be lost, horrified at how Dynamis caused the adorable Entelechy to become one that would unmake the world. She makes her quick escape, promising Venat that she would do her best in the present. With her final confrontation with Venat as Hydaelyn, she has a tearful goodbye with Venat, thanking her for her blessing and all she’s learnt and experienced.Sileas confronts Meteion at the edge of the universe with the blessing of many in Etheirys, desiring to protect the world. With each scion sacrificing themselves for her to move forward, she trudges on with strength in her heart, her final stand to call upon the souls of two old, new friends, to show Meteion that hoped would surely remain, after many years. Defeating Meteion, Sileas enters a final confrontation with Zenos, acknowledging that her strength came from her desire to protect her loved ones, and never lost the joy of learning something new, and new strength. Fully spent and injured from her multiple battles, she returns to Etheirys with barely a breath, relieved that the planet had been saved.

Present

After worrying her lover horribly when she returned from the edge of the universe battered and fully injured, Sileas continued to rest in Ishgard, a well deserved break after the unrelenting months of averting The Final Days. With the scions disbanded, she begins residing in the Holy See, working on her business while starting a new venture to share culinary delights of other states to the people of Ishgard. Keeping her experiences, memories of friends old and new dear to her, she resolves to love and support her beloved Aymeric as much as she can, making up for the time they spent apart. A new adventure soon awaits her with her close friends, to save the 13th reflection of Etheirys and taking steps towards Y’shtola’s ambitions of rift travel.
